King Carthur Super Smooth Clay Bar is used to remove dirt from car paint and glass surfaces that has not been removed during other cleaning steps. Such dirt includes, for example, difficult tar spots, glue, resin and paint mist. The clay sticks to the most stubborn dirt particles that cannot be removed with traditional detergents. During claying, stubborn dirt particles stick to the clay and remain inside the clay. It is recommended to always use the clay with a lubricant to avoid scratching the paint surface during work. The package contains 100 grams of cleaning clay.

Clay is used for minor removals and after iron removal. Remove two coin-sized pieces of clay from the clay pot and drop them into a bucket of warm water. The clay softens in the water, making it easier to use. When there are two pieces, one piece of clay can be warmed in the water while the other is being cleaned. Move the piece of clay lightly over the surface of the car. Use a generous amount of lubricant. You will feel the dirt coming off when the clay “taps” into the dirt.

The clay will slide much more smoothly on a cleaned surface. When the clay starts to harden, replace the piece with a more flexible piece in the bucket of water. When dirt particles stick to the piece of clay, fold and shape the piece so that the dirt sinks into the clay. Finally, when the entire car has been clayed, rinse off any remaining lubricant from the surface of the car.
