The KC DirtCone is a sand separator that fits perfectly on the bottom of the bucket. The DirtCone has nearly 300 small cone-shaped cyclones that ensure that dirt falls freely to the bottom of the bucket without dirt remaining on the sand separator surface and thus on the paint surface. These cyclones act as one-way valves: dirt that reaches the bottom of the cyclone cannot be recirculated in the washing water. Without a sand separator, particles that enter the bucket with the washing glove can travel freely in the water - and stick to the washing glove again when it is dipped in the bucket. This means that the particles are repeatedly transferred to the surface being washed and cause unwanted washing scratches. Unlike traditional sand separators that cause constant headaches, the DirtCone does not fall apart or bounce in the washing bucket, but remains firmly together, thanks to its one-piece structure.
The KC DirtCone binds the particles to the bottom of the bucket and prevents them from circulating in the wash water. As a result, the wash water in the bucket is significantly cleaner than without a sand separator. An effective two-bucket technique definitely requires a sand separator, preferably in both buckets.
