King Carthur White Crystal is a top-quality, soft and short-pile microfiber cloth, the structure of which is optimized especially for wiping off various coatings. High-quality microfibers and an exceptionally high polyamide content (30%) combined with a completely seamless structure ensure a soft and gentle contact with the paint surface, making wiping off as safe and easy as possible. The cloth also leaves no lint behind, and there is no sewn-in washcloth, which increases the gentleness even further. Equipped with ultrasonically cut edges, White Crystal weighs a plush 600 gsm, which ensures incredible absorbency and prevents the cloth from clogging during wiping.
The hard seams and washcloths of the cloths can cause unwanted abrasions and scratches on the paint surface when rubbing against it. However, this problem does not exist with White Crystal! The exceptionally high polyamide content of the cloth (30%) makes it particularly soft, gentle and absorbent, and it also glides much better than a conventional polyester cloth.
Microfiber cloths are almost always machine washable and should always be washed before first use. If you wash a microfiber cloth with other laundry, it is best to put it in a separate laundry bag so that the cloth does not rub and wear other laundry or collect lint from it. We recommend using a detergent specifically designed for microfibers, such as King Carthur Microfiber Wash , to clean the cloth properly and keep it as dense and absorbent as possible.
If you use a normal laundry detergent, make sure it does not contain zeolite or other thinners, and do not use a separate fabric softener. Drying cloths should not be washed at the same time as cloths used for waxing, for example, to prevent wax residue from the cloths from clogging the drying cloth.
It is advisable to wash your microfiber cloth regularly so that the cloth is cleaned at the washing temperature specified on the care label. The temperature usually varies between 30-60 degrees. A very dirty microfiber cloth may not be cleaned properly at 30 degrees, but requires a higher washing temperature than the washing instructions. However, using a higher temperature than the washing instructions has its risks, especially microfiber cloths that are washed at a low 30 degrees may easily shrink (or otherwise suffer) when the washing temperature is raised above the manufacturer's instructions.
