The story of King Carthur began with something as simple as just a pre wash foam. We were trying to find the best prewash to be used with foam lance, but every single one of those available had some downsides: either the product was powerful enough, but stripped the wax layer alongside the dirt, or was safe to use even with natural waxes, but then again didn't really remove enough dirt. Or if it had a good balance between washing power and safety for waxes, it might have been super expensive or only sold to professional users or harmful to the nature and couldn't be used in the home yard and so on. Especially the stubborn dirt that we faced here in Nordic countries during autumn and winter proved to be too much for most of the wax safe prewashes.
We didn't want to believe that it would be impossible to create a prewash that was as powerful as we needed and available to anybody, but still didn't harm the wax layer and wouldn't be too hard to use. After over a year of testing and developing, the first King Carthur product finally saw the daylight: King Carthur Control Snow Foam: wax safe biodegradable prewash foam that removed even the stubborn dirt with just applying, letting it dwell and rinsing, which could be used with foam lance or if pressure washer is not available, even by just spraying it on and rinsing with hose.

When the first product was created, we started to notice similar problem in almost every aspect of car care. There were just too many "good enough" or "okay" products, that did somewhat or didn't do what they promised. To us it was like a challenge: we wanted to show that this and that product is possible to be made to be actually really effective which does redeem its promises. Which ever product we decide to create, we wont settle for mediocre, but keep on developing until it is the best in market.
It is quite normal in the industry, that once a product is developed and ready, it is forgotten, at least in the eyes of product development. Still, raw materials, production methods and also objects of use (cars and materials in them) are developing and changing all the time. Better materials and methods allows the product to be even better in every way, and also makes sure they are suitable for all new cars and materials in them. In King Carthur we are constantly developing not only the new, but also excisting products.
Big thing in car care business is also many times overlooked aspect, environment and nature. In King Carthur we don't want to be encumbrance for the lovely nature and that's why we put a big effort to make sure our products are environmental friendly and can be used even in the home yards.
